We would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who supported the Seventh District Volunteer Fire Department, its members and the family of Kyle Hecker throughout the past week. The kind words and the assistance provided shows the great bond we have throughout the fire service in Southern Maryland.

We had hundreds of "posts" and "likes" on our facebook page and several thousand visitors to our website. None of them went unread or unrecognized by the membership of our department. Our send off to Kyle was one that we know he would have been proud of.

Again thank you to everyone who took part in the services.
