----------------- On July 29, around 1:00 a.m., police responded to the 21700 blk of Great Mills Road at the Lexington Lounge in Lexington Park, for report of a disturbance. Police arrived on scene and witnessed a male subject shooting a handgun while running through the parking lot of Cole Travel on Shangri La Drive. Police recovered two weapons at the scene and multiple people were detained. As many as 15 additional police units from Charles and Calvert counties responded to assist with crowd control. A command center was set up at the Donut Connection. Police drove a victim with gunshot wounds to the back and shoulder to Lancaster Park, where the patient was then transported by ambulance to the Trooper Hanger for a fly out. Police were also called to St. Mary's Hospital for an additional fight around 1:45 a.m.
