Small Plane Crashes Around Chesapeake Ranch Estate Airport

On November 20, 2011 Solomons, St. Leonard, Bay District VFD, & Lexington Park VRS were dispatched to an aircraft crash in the area of Chesapeake Ranch Estates Airport in Lusby, MD Calvert County. The initial report was a small private plane had crashed at the end of the airstrip. At the time of this story it is known that the only 2 occupants of the aircraft were both flown by Maryland State Police Trooper 2 to an area Trauma Center. It is also known that 2 Fire Fighters from Engine 31 were transported to Calvert Memorial Hospital for Checkup after what was reported over the radio as "Inhalation Burns".
